I've started a return request on eBay to return something that was broken on receipt. The buyer has contacted me to a previous message with an address to return to, I assume they should do something with the return request first to accept it? I don't want to send it back to them without going through the proper channels.
I've never had to return anything on eBay so I don't fully know the process so any advice grateful received.

I've just done this, posted the goods back to them (at my cost) and eventually I got a new item.
All worked out fine.
