I suppose that’s one way of fixing the aggro’s woeful reliability issues.

Meanwhile I’ll see your aggro and raise you a lobster

We were also looking at this for a Crumball Car.

That's not an Allegro, it's a Vanden Plas.

My mums first car after passing her test was an Allegro Vanden Plas , it was lovely on the inside and made you forget how awful the outside looked. It was pooh brown and I hated it.

Remember going with my old dad when he went to look at a second-hand one of them.

That memory actually brought a tear to my eye.

And no, not because of the car... You bunch of sods.lol

my mate just finished restoring this for a customer. For a brown turd I have to admit it looks utterly amazing. Shame they never came out of the factory in this state.

You missed his earlier creation, a Allegro body on a aircooled beetle floorpan with beetle running gear, now that was tidy.

Why? (I can appreciate the one in the OP, and would happily own it for a laugh)

I think mainly because he can and secondly it's relatively easy to get a beetle sitting very low.

The back of the eBay one looks like a montego, especially the lights.
