I sold an item last night and the buyer has asked me to ship the item to a different address from his paypal account and eBay address.
New address is in the same area and he's sent me an email via eBay so I assume I could use this as proof if things go wrong.
Do you reckon this is okay to do or should I contact eBay.
I wouldn't as PP etc will just screw you over if he claims it didn't arrive.

Thanks. I've contacted the buyer quoting the info above and issued a refund as it just seems dodgy to me.
Bit late now but you could just ask him to add the address to his account. You can have multiple addresses.
Mind you even if you do ship to his PayPal address if he complains it never arrived PayPal will just refund him (even if you have proof of delivery).
Yes but he'd already made the payment which instructed me to post to the address he no longer lives at. I've refunded and he says he will pay again after adding the new address to paypal.
How can paypal do a refund if you have proof of delivery from the courier?
