Can anyone recommend me some free software to convert dvd to mp4 please. Thanks.
I use Digiarty WinX DVD Ripper Platinum.
It wasn't free but it wasn't very expensive.
I tried a few of the free ones but couldn't get any of them to do what I wanted them to do, rip full-length DVDs to a format I could get onto a Nokia phone. If one of the free ones works for you, happy days, but if you come to the conclusion that you're not going to get what you want out of a free one I can recommend the one I use.
Handbrake +1 but takes freakin' ages
Rip the DVD to your hard drive first before using Handbrake and then rip it from there; cuts the time it takes to rip.
If you're on a Mac, Ripit.
WinAVI does the job for me
+1 for Handbrake.
Downloaded Digiarty WinX DVD Ripper Platinum and it's utter posh. Crashes constantly. I've emailed the supplier asking for a refund but no response. Total waste of money.
Downloaded handbrake - it works.
