hi all. I've tried posting a clearout for sale thread a few times. but this forum code hasnt let me post it once for some reason? when I try a few hours later i get an error message of "Duplicate Topics detected" which confuses me, as it didnt let me post the first time.
any advice please?

Try just changing the thread title a bit - I thought it used to make a '-2','-3' suffix on the end of duplicate URLs but maybe that doesn't work any more

The OP has had so many For Sale threads that he's exhausted the supply of suffix integers. But he's not a trader, cos the mods say so.
try adding a random word to the title like 'lobster' or 'ointment'.

I think Picolax is the STW choice for an everything must go clear out. I'm also pretty sure that fresh lobster would be ineffective and effective lobster would be ill-advised.
Scant did used to be a legitimate forum member, although he is now just a trader making money off the classifieds and has been since at least the hack. I thought he was matey with the STW mob though, which is why he's allowed to do it.
