[Closed] (Duke of) Edinburgh Defence - dazzled by the sun

That old Chestnut again....

Just seen a report that the Duke of Edinburgh was dazzled by the sun, causing his collision on the A149. Sounds a bit convenient to me.
An earlier report I read said that he was crossing the A149 from a private road back towards the Sandringham estate when the accident occurred.

To cross the A149 towards the Sandringham estate he would have had to have been driving roughly East, given that the estate is on the east side of the A149. As far as I know the sun would have been well over in the west at 3pm, so quite how the sun dazzled him is a bit of a mystery to me....

PS - this post was really just a way of shoe-horning "(Duke of) Edinburgh defence" into the title, as it seemed quite apt for this forum. 🙂

How inept are this government?

They go to the trouble of setting up a Royal “incident” complete with State Funeral that will distract the media for at least 3 weeks whilst they get on with doing ghastly things to the economy and NHS, then send the D of E out in a vehicle that could survive a direct hit from an RPG. Surely one of those little John Deere buggy things would have been better suited to meet their murderous aims.

I just hope that they hadn’t paid the deposit on St Paul’s and a buffet for 3,000.

Wait, all the conspiracy theories about the death of Diana (motor accident, surely no co-incidence) have Phillip at the heart of directing the secret service... Was this an attempted coup to off the Duke and take over the running of the Establishment?

My money's on...

Image result for meghan markle

It was bumbled because the brains behind the last "accident" happend to be the intended victim of this one.

You may get him to sign off the paperwork, but when they plan it with maps and little models he would be bound to notice that the hit was going to take place on his own drive.

Drac's "Bird Box" pic on the other thread made me laugh, I must say.

I’m assuming he just got that fed up of all the Brexit coverage that he thought he would spice things up a bit.

Good on him I say

It looks like he took his time waiting to get out, maybe some traffic lights would be a good idea!

(crash was actually on the road the other side of the estate)
