Geeky phone thread time: I want a new phone, fancy trying Android, but can't decide between these two models.
Pros and cons: Milestone has a keyboard, and is 200 euros cheaper... but it's a lot uglier...
Anyone had a go on both and has an opinion?
are you in a hurry? if not, wait for the HTC Legend or the Sony Experia X10... both look bloody good, though not out till April I think? I'm waiting, they look to be worth it.
Don't really want to wait til April, although they do look good. As with all technology products, you can wait a month and get something twice as good, indefinitely...
'tis true 🙂 but that Legend looks very nice with its aluminium 'unibody'
Nexus > Droid (have played with/handled both). Legend looks lovely but a not available yet. The Droid feels larger than it actually is and the keyboard is too flat to be useful (you can't feel the keys).
Cheers for the input, might just have to get a Nexus then...
Legend's got a bit of a small screen - one of the main reasons I'm getting rid of the 5800.
That, and Symbian's a big steaming pile of poo, too.

... But not as big as Windows Mobile, truly the most irritating, counter-intuitive, useless piece of dreck it's ever been my misfortune to actually spend money on.
