I've taken the plunge and bought a Dremel (other multitools are available and their owners are most welcome to show and tell as well!). I've finished the project I bought it for so I'm now looking at making "things".

So STW, in these dark times, motivate me with your projects past and present.

Difficult to show a picture.

But i milled down an old chainring to narrow the gap between the two tings and allow 11speed to work on a vintage obscure OCD crank.

That was fun...

To be honest my default is normally reach for a file and a hacksaw.

Not so much 'what have I made' but I've got one and there are certain jobs that crop up where you can't think of any other way to do it apart from 'getting the Dremel out'. Mainly with those teeny cutting discs to be fair, but they do come in very handy.

Or there is always this:

My Dremel was probably the most used tool when making my "Ghetto Shifter" (Thread linky)

It's still going two years later...

I recently used mine to make a router adapter for my Dremel. So now I can use it like a mini palm router

Engrave the picture using the Dremel as a router - mine came with a router attachment

Last thing I did was turn an old front shifter into a dropper lever

Brake and gear cables. Dremel cut wheels make the neatest ends possible. Then slip on a nipple and give it a squeeze to finish it off.
