Dr STW treat my callus

I've got callused hands not a problem except for one of them. Most of them appear on the palm below the folds of skin where fingers start. This one however is pretty much on the folds of skin where the fingers start. I spoke to a pharmacist several years ago thinking it was a dirty wart, but was advised to gently sand it. It's a persistent bugger however. If I leave it it gets really lumpy. I'm wearing gloves for riding and pull ups etc. What else should I do?

sounds to me like its not a callus, unless theres something strange about your hands, or what you do with them its not somewhere a callus would form. ย And also sounds to me like a pharmacist isn't a doctor. ๐Ÿ™‚

Could be a wart and even if it isn't the treatment you'd use for a wart (salicylic acid) would probably remove a callus anyway. I'm neither a doctor or a pharmacist.

Calluses form where there's frequent pressure/friction so, yeah, that's not a likely site unless you're doing something weird(ly).

Have a proper think about where your hands are placed when you ride or do your pull ups or anything else that you do regularly.ย  Maybe your glove has weird padding that's shifting pressure to that point ??

I had a callous that was in a weird place, couldn't shift it. Turned out to be a verruca. Took a while to get rid but it went in the end. It was on my thumb, and exactly where I bashed it kayakingย

Chicken neck wringing can do that. Surprisingly, I've not had mine wrung yet.

Plus, one of Angelina Jolie's better roles I think.
