I'm looking to go to Belgium leaving London or Stroud area by car at the end of April (29/04-01/05) by ferry (not the train) and seem to be getting prices of £100 return,
is this good?
any benefit of Calais / Dunkerque as the milage is almost the same?
any other options to consider?
Cheers
What companies are you looking at? I have used Norfolkline several times and they seem to be the cheapest(£50 return in august two summers ago)
i've always used norfolk line - prefer to arrive at dunkerque saves some time. sometimes get great prices - last time about £39 return.
Norfolk line for me as well, really good service, happy to move you up if you arrive early without charge etc. Speedferries might be worth a look too (this is the old name i forget the new one), they tend to be very cheap but only limited crossings etc so if you're early or late etc then it can be a big wait.
Norfolkline for me too. Usually very late at night, fares seldom more that £20 return. Usually just trucks and a handfull of cars. Nae screaming bairns - eases a good couple of hours sleep.
Think we are usually about 90 though sometimes it is cheaper. Dunkirk saves you a bit of time but there are often more sailings from Dover so if you miss one or are early you don't need to wait too long
Bank hol weekend that - prices are going to be premium

Happy Christmas to you, the missus and yer sprog 😉
PS. R U moving 2 Stroud?
Norfolk Line - cheap and decent. And you save miles on the dodgy French motorway.
