Not very IT clever, but worked out a dongle is what I need.
Are they easy to set up and use? Any recommendations?
Just needed for surfing.

Yes, and talk to your mobile phone provider.
Assuming you are talking about wireless internet access.

my 3 one has been fine, (on a side, but 99% likely to be irrelevant, note none of them work if your running windows Server 2003 or 2008/R2)
