So Trump wan't to remove 3 MILLION people from the US?
If those 3 million, who presumably don't want to leave, get organised, that's more than enough for civil un-rest to become civil war is it not?
He said he wants to deport or incarcerate all the criminals. Which is basically what's meant to happen anyway isn't it?
Good way to placate the baying mobs who don't listen carefully, without actually having to do anything.
Did we do these yet?
@max so you are saying if you try and deport 3 million people who are living in the US illegally there will be a mass uprising ? What's the point of having any laws at all then just pure Anarchy ?
@molgrips except that is not what is happening currently, Obama has been claiming he has been deporting more people than ever but he counts those refused entry at the border 😯
Kimbers no she was speaking over the very polite American lady who represents Republicans abroad. BTW she was extremely condesending suggesting Trump couldn't possibly learn on the job or bring anything new as he had no political experience. That was the point, Americans wanted something different and they do not believe politicans of either side have done a remotely decent job. Also incredibly popmpus to imply a politican was better qualified to run a country than a business person. Why the hell not ?
molgrips - MemberDid we do these yet?
See, I predicted it. We've lost the ability to use the present perfect. 🙁
igm - MemberNope Chewkw, Obama does not say he is a Muslim at or around 1:03 or anywhere else that I could see. Some good (well it tries to be good) editing to attempt to give that impression but he doesn't say it.
Sorry and all.
In that case I shall cook him some pork chops then. Pork chop taste good. 😆

He said it himself. Just stick to the first half of the clip while the second half is about something else.
Where? 😆
Look there! There! Don't you see it! 😆
Chewkw do you mean the awkwardly edited bit that's obviously been done to make it look like he says he's Muslim? Or are you talking about a different bit?
I think he means the awkwardly edited bit. It's pretty clear that the video is rubbish.
I give up. He is not a Muslim and I am going to cook him a big juicy pork chop. You win. 😆akira - Member

Yeah... but no. Obama ate pork on US TV
Good clip that now I can persuade me mates to eat freely. In that case pork chop it is. Not a surprise really. Did I tell you some of me mates with strict religion belief also eat pork in secret. You don't know that don't you. 😆 However, that does not make him a non-muslim.atlaz - Member

Yeah... but no. Obama ate pork on US TV
He is not a Muslim
Well why didn't you just say?
chewkw: he has never said he is a Muslim. A conspiracy nut's video of hatcheted together out-of-context quotes of him mentioning Muslims doesn't make him Muslim.
Obama claims he is Protestant Christian. Here's his interview in Christianity Today magazine in which he says: "I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life."
I'm not very up on religious stuff, but wouldn't most Muslims say they were Muslim and generally be somewhat against denying their faith and pretending they were Christian?
Anyways...
Harsh exchange of words at the Trump protests:
60 minutes interview, just started watching it the now.
Quite a while ago, we had offas dyke to keep the welsh english apart, watts dyke for similar stuff, then Hadrians wall and a few others, then we have the so called peace wall in the northern part of ireland, israel has the wall, east germany had a wall, north and south korea have a border fence, what Mr Trump is saying is nothing new, and as for deporting ilegals we are also doing that in uk plc, we have hugely costly detention centres, some even burn down, due to carelessly discarded cigarettes etc.
In this country we have food banks, thousands on benefits,a failing underfunded nhs, a poor and expensive railway system, lack of affordable housing, crap repairs to roads, litle cycling infrastructure, council services being desimated etc etc, yet most spend their time having a go at a cheerful grandad type figure who has just been democratically elected by the country, while we have a woman named after a shampoo and who the public, thats us didnt elect, and most of probably would never elect.

Am I correct in understanding that you're using a combination of things which fell down millennia ago, things which are condemned by the international community and things which the locals on both sides tore down as examples of how reasonable Donny's plans to build a wall are? 🙄
I won't even go into the fact that pretty much all the things you mention as bad about this country are far worse in the US.
and now they have a new man and mangement to help change the situation, new broom sweeps clean etc, is a good proverb.
Thats what happens in industry and is a proven way of sorting out problems.
I applaud your optimism (I think that's the right word).
Though I note at least one of the things you mention being bad here, one of Donny's campaign pledges was to take the US further away from what would be good (though he does appear to have done a partial retraction now).
thats us didnt elect, and most of probably would never elect.
May would win a GE now by a landslide, personally I think she'll still be PM in 2020 and will win then.

Like when Dominic Chapel bought BHS ? 😆
There is no way Trump can deport 3 millions people . or is it 2 millions ? he is not even sure of the numbers and we are talking big numbers there . He has no intention of doing anything he said .
Those gangs have more weapons and controls than the police , he would have to send the army , and lots of them .
How can someone with 75 lawsuits against him can even be allowed to run for president ?
ignore that vid above btw, it's not tonights broadcast it's pre-election.
Law suits? Everyone can be sued you know but whether that will go to court and being found guilty is another story.cchris2lou - Member

Yes a challenge but does that mean you shouldn't try ?
That seems to be a very good reason to tackle the problem, Anarchy otherwise. Also a good reason to support legal gun ownership ?
Let's see how many of those actually turn out to be meaningful or ever have enough merit to make it to court
I give up. He is not a Muslim
Thanks, that saves me the time of looking through that badly edited pile of propaganda again. Anyway, who cares (apart form Americans)? I'm not concerned if he's muslim, christian, jewish, buddhist, atheist. The impression I have is he's one of the more decent men to have occupied the office.
he can try to deport 3 million people but it is a bit like me saying I am going to win the TDF next year without training to get team SKY to take me on as team leader . it is bollxcks .
Trump actually said he'd deport "up to" 3 million criminal immigrants or send them to prison.
If one immigrant goes to prison in the next 4 years he'll have fulfilled his promise. He's only really setting an upper limit.
What if there's 10 million? He's literally promised not to send 7 million of them to prison.
That list of lawsuits is pretty vague in general, mostly against businesses he owns not him personally, look at these two .. he called someone a dummy on twitter and his campaign sent out some texts ... lock him up 😉
Mr Trump is also defending lawsuits tied to his campaign. In New York State, Republican political consultant Cheryl Jacobus filed a $4 million libel lawsuit claiming he "destroyed her career" by calling her "a dummy" on Twitter. In another case, scheduled for 29 November in Chicago, it is alleged Trump's campaign violated consumer protection laws by sending unsolicited text messages to "Help Make America Great Again!".
As I said even the University ones are lame, trades description act (as it where) and not against him personally. Do you think he really has a great deal to do with course material or marketing copy ? A large business empire like he has will always be involved in litigation and disputes.
The sexual assault allegations could be serious but from what I have seen one certainly seems her word against his.
I'm not convinced that the people who voted for him will be satisfied if he only send 1 person to prison.
One of the University court case could lead to his impeachment as per the BBC link.
But more importantly do you think that it is morally right that he has been elected president with all those courts cases pending? Not really setting a good example is it?
Personally I'm not quite convinced he's the devil incarnate that people say he is. Aye, he ran a fairly ridiculous campaign. Btw I would actually say when you cut through the shit and compare what Hilary was saying and what trump is saying, there's not really much of a contest, trump was the more interesting policy wise. Have a look at his Gettysburg speech for evidence there, personally I think that's what won him it.. I don't agree with everything in it, far from it. But there's someone pretty interesting stuff and some actual content, and rather than proclaim his supporters as idiots, personally I can see why alot of people voted for him.
I'll watch what he does with interest.
People can moan about him all they like. But with clinton the democrats made a pigs ear of it.

....But more importantly do you think that it is morally right that he has been elected president with all those courts cases pending?...
Is it morally right to convict someone or punish them before the case is decided in court?
Is that the fifth or sixth time the Jonathan Pie video has been posted now?
It's almost like people aren't listening to what others are saying...
I am not condemning him , just asking is it right to elect someone president with so many questions marks over his integrity?
tbh I think you need a wee bit more than just question marks.
These days it seems a waste of time being bothered about the promises the people in power make. Often empty promises to gain the power and then they are never truly held to account (apart from by the opposition)..e.g. @jamba will always moan aabout Labour's cock-ups and lies but hypocritically disrgeard his own Tory parties lies and cock-ups as if they're the perfect example of a political party.
When Trump is unable to deliver his promises he'll simply blame all those around him and walk away with all his suporters forgiving him blaming the opposition too.
It's blinkered tribal politics.
Is it just me who instantly thought of this scene when Trump got voted in?
75 lawsuits! Phwa
President Zuma of South Africa had 700 plus cases of corruption against him and had narrowly wriggled out of a rape charge when he was elected. Now he's just been implicated in a "State Capture" report that indicates he and his friends have stolen literally billions of Rand from SA and have put in place plans to steal more. All while people are living in shacks and begging at the traffic lights.
Trump is a Boy Scout 🙂
So he makes a big deal out of being a "smart" businessman. So why didn't he see this coming, then?
