No, no they are reporters who are unable to report properly so decide to interpret, to extrapolate and to dramatise the events according to their views.

a Mirror or The Mirror?

It's true.

Most "news" nowadays are just bad reporting.

I don't buy newspaper at all coz I can get all my news from interweb.

However I do watch telly news come from BBC and ITV, Channel 4 ... with the latter on maximum volume dramatisation. I mean have you ever listened to Channel 4 the financial news? 😆

Can't say I have recently but you don't buy papers so you know what they are reporting?
Try reading some, when they don't agree with you then perhaps consider you may be wrong.
Also I'd suggest cross checking what Trump says/claims against here.
https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2017/02/03/daniel-dales-donald-trump-fact-check-updates.html - note how like good news reporting they contain details and links to sources that can be verified.

I can list half a dozen Trump lies from the last four weeks without trying too hard but cant think of any from the mainstram media.

Anyone got them?

Just a list will do.

I'm not here to convince you, believe what you will!

If your going to ask people question the reporting from "quality media" then you really should back up the assertion they are not reliable. Otherwise It will all look flawed straight from the off!

Not that I disagree particularly. Although when I read what trump says, unedited, and through sources friendly to him, he does appear to be a bit of a **** anyway.

never mind what's happening in sweden, what happened in London last night that the media don't seem to be covering?

Multiple knife attacks by recent immigrants

Explosions at properties in East London

Several murders

Explosives factory right on our doorstep

Cover ups right at the heart of the establishment, including the top of the royal family.

#sawitonTVsomustbetrue

#taboocatchup

(just joking, although it may be in his news conference later today)

The thing is that virtually everything everyone is criticising Trump for are attributable to direct quotes/tweets from the man himself (with the odd exception, such as the quote calling Republicans idiots from a long time ago). OK, some of the reporting has been a bit hysterical in its tone (as it always is) but there is no denying what he has actually said.

Unfortunately for Trump, there's no hiding when you are President and also happen to be a media whore.

If you look at brietbart or any of trump's speeches then unless you're extremely biased or a simpleton then you can't possibly complain about pretty much all the other media coverage. If you think a media outlet covering factual stories but with a political bias is bad but don't feel like commenting on outright lies then your opinion is invalid.

That seems to be what all Trump supporters do and the stuff they choose to tweet about is utter crap, retweeted because some other redneck got it from a friend who didn't read the news article "quite right". Another Swedish tale that got dragged up last night was the old "20 immigrants rape 11 year old girl" yarn. Another Bowling Green massacre!

I don't know, I think we have some evidence with which to consider that statement. 🙂

I think Trump's "Sweden" gaffe is a result of expressive asphasia. He actually meant "Something I saw last night about what's happening in Sweden" but it came out as "something that happened last night in Sweden"...

If you compare his speeches and interviews today, to those in the past, it is clear that his condition is worsening.

Two things - his willingness to take things at face value (the Fox report was largely inaccurate and misleading) and the subsequent revealing of some his "tinfoilhat" supporters, who think that the Swedish goverment's reaction was a cover up that Trump has "exposed".

Oh well. His deputy is doing a good job travelling the globe and doing what Trump, as President, should be doing.

Beware the Ides of March...

That the queen is leech who'll happily rub shoulders with the worst of them?

Must admit, really really don't get this embarrassed queen angle.

Say what you like about Hirohito, but he'd never grab you by the pussy.

At least we saw Salmond admitting his past errors, which was quite refreshing

CH4 News covering this now

Clearly today thank you

They can't have been mumbling then can they? I'd normally struggle to hear someone mumbling indoors, let alone outside with the noise of the city around. Were you really close to them?

Glad we are now agreed about mumbling DD - as you will be aware in this case my use of the term mumbling was ironic

Note the difference between a proper protest and a mumble. QED.

Maybe THM could stay on the threads that already exist for those subjects with his trolling instead of trying to spread it out across others.

😉 raw nerve hit!!!

At least we can now compare two so-called protests and realise just how alternative some facts are.

Glad the people today were given he right to exercise their views about Trump. We should respect freedom of speech.

No, I don't think we are thm and how surprising of you to be so presumptuous. Perhaps, as obsessed as you are with trying to wind TJ up, and as MSP sagely advises, you could stop taking your petty grievances across threads. It keeps things simpler for us all.

WTF has this got to do with TJ?

I made a comment about the protests while watching CH4 news.

It made an interesting contrast. One proper protest at least.

Like so many of your posts, it arrived straight after one of TJ's. Never mind, I'm sure it was just a coincidence like all the others.

I made a comment about the protests while watching CH4 news.

Indeed. It had nothing to do with that other thread did it? How remiss of us to presume that it did. Were we wrong to presume such? I dunno, you went on about "mumbling" and alternative facts so much in that thread, it just rung a bell.

Not remiss at al - you did well and now we both agree about the futility and irrelevance of mumbling.

[You would be better off looking at the coincidence between my post timing and the timing of the news coverage - wonder why that was?]
