OK this seems to be the place for non bike related advice
so our electric oven has finally given up..
recommend me a replacement

NEFF, have installed them in every house I've lived in since 1993 and some are still going strong. Others, the new owners have been non believers and have installed inferior kit.

Bosch is good, we had our kitchen done in November and got a massive Bosch fan oven fitted - great for the Xmas turkey. Other kitchen stuff is Baumatic, which is another lesser known german brand but with quite a good reputation.
