We will be in touch
At the moment I'm using a 25 year old Marantz CD63 MkII KI Signature with optical out to a Topping D50S. It sounds grand but the CD player isn't going to last forever (or is it?)
I'm looking at the Audiolab 6000CDT as a replacement.
Just wondered if the STW community could offer any advice, comments or personal experiences of this model or other sub-£500 alternatives.
Fanks
The 6000CDT is immense and would highly recommend. That said I am currently using a Soy 337ESD still on its original laser and transport and that is well over 30 years old and still going strong. Because I love it so much I have a full spare laser and motor unit for it for when it does eventually die.
But I would have no hesitation in getting a 6000CDT and it can't be beaten for the price. And big up respect for the D50s. I have one as well and sold a very expensive Naim streamer as a result of just how good the Topping was.
Without going down the rabbit hole again, surely the transport won't make that much of a difference?
No doubt there will be a difference in the signal sent to the DAC but no a noticeable one?
Can of worms there gochubul!
Naim.
House!
