Very impressive,
why does it cope so well with the conditions ?
is it because of the skinny tyres and a locked diff?

Skinny tyres, low weight, short gearing, loads of torque at low revs high ground clearance. I had a go in the snow with my '32 Morris Major in the snow once, it just cut through the drifts.

One of the most capable cars I ever drove off road was a 2cv ..........and that's after owning and driving lots of land/range rovers inc trials and comp safari ......so I know it's worth ..
