"takes precedence over other life interests"
I can apply that to riding, especially in regards to work. What are "other life interests" anyway - the wife? Is this just a way of wives to get us to act more "responsibly" - are some of your wives now going to be telling us "you don't take enough interest in me - you have <insert addiction type>! Stop playing games and riding bicycles like children!".
Nope, World Cup is on so I’ve missed a few club rides.

Has been shown, I believe, to be good for reaction times, memory, cutting dementia risk and lowering stress.
Gaming doesn't tend to cause personality changing TBI's either.....
cutting dementia risk
Okey dokey! Wonder how they tested that.
I might be missing my biking but am managing to get my 1k swim most lunchtimes, it takes a lot of bike miles to feel as hungry as I do after a swim.

Presumably, by using oldish people and following up on them a decade or so later.
I remember reading an article about the dementia thing. The study involved those already suffering playing some basic computer games each day and it had positive effects on their well-being.
I'm convinced I have Honary Catholisism Disorder or something similar, the amount of times especially this year when I've felt guilty for not going out for a ride is unreal!

Yeah, but the OP has posted a story about the potential of diagnosing gaming addiction -
Pretty sure that isn't the same as "playing some basic computer games each day".
