As soon as it lifts I'm jumping in the car and going down to ride the Trans-Cambium trail in Wales. The week later, maybe the route used by the Jenn Ride 100.

How about you?

What I'd like to do, and what I'll be physically able to do will most likely be very different things.

Not ridden a bike since lock down started.

Head to Selkirk, up corbielinn, then "off the saddle", "sweaty bum", "two hoes", then up to three brethren for "quarry" and "double decker", humph it all the way back up for "broadmeadows decent" in to bowhill for 'body bag" and "Illuminati", then home for a beer.

I can't wait

(I've done hundreds of miles since lockdown and not moved at all.)

a two week tour around kintyre and cowal. It was planned for a holiday in early june but thats not gonna happen is it. so whenever we have freedom to travel and the NHS crisis is over its gonna be "quit my job and go for a bike ride"

Exactly the same here, mainly as I've been at work far more than usual & I'm just to tired.

A play at Farmer John's to see what they've been upto during lockdown, a day in the peaks, and mostly back to the bmx track so my son can do what he loves (I'll watch!)

I'm considering a 55 mile ride covering all the local bridleways I can do without crossing a road, 1700m of climbing so it will be a big day out.

And I'm also tempted to try out Jim Barrows SD300 aka Southern Discomfort as a 4 day trip around the South Downs, but this will be dependent on the campsites and pubs opening up I think. 185 miles (300km) and 5,600 metres.

I'd also like a crack at the Highland 550 but I probably won't have time this summer, and suspect the locals will still not want people flocking to the Highlands (which I guess they will as not many people will be going abroad this year)

The coast. We can go up to 100km from home as of 11/5/2020 and Cap Breton beach is 97km.

i haven't ridden my bike since november (apart from going to do shopping at supermarket).

i plan to start riding again once the lockdown is over and train to attempt a 100 mile ride 30 days from starting riding again (on my mtb).

am well up for starting training (and bought a new garmin in readiness for said training).

literally not done any exercise apart from said trips to supermarket since nov 7th last year, so am well up for this challenge 👍🚴

Just a Thursday night ride in Lordswood.
Nothing special, be nice if No Dabs has dried up a bit and Starwars or Left,Left are always enjoyable but mostly it will be awesome to ride with the guys again.

I don't care where it is as long as the great british public go back to watching the telly and stop clogging up MY trails.

Just a ride with friends will be lovely. Location fairly immaterial.

Other than that, I'll probably do some local-ish rides, i.e. those which involve a short car journey to get to the start. I feel in the mood to rediscover local routes rather than travelling far and wide.

Having said that, a return to the Highlands would be beautiful 🙂

A couple of years ago I did a CX ride across Lancachire. Cross bike, Cross Lancs. Had a nice story to it: the industrial valleys of the south giving way to the quaint little stone villages and then the open expanses of sod-all up around Slaidburn. Took in old packhorse routes, cobbled climbs, Trans-Pennine Trail, some road and so on. it took quite a bit of planning and logistics around leaving the car at the finish the previous day, trains and so on plus it needed some cafe stops.

Anyway, I've got a similar ride planned in the Lakes, starting from Walney Island and going right up through the middle of the Lake District finishing at the Scottish Border. Again, needs logistics of car at the end, train to the start, cafes en route and so on. Ironically, it's perfect conditions to do it now - trails are dry, there's no traffic, no people clogging up my trails.

Ah well - soon I hope.

"I’d also like a crack at the Highland 550 but I probably won’t have time this summer,"

Yes!! But true about potentially having run ins with locals (half of them are dependent on tourism also?).

No, deliberately not planning anything is my coping strategy.

Will be a trip over to my parents in the Chilterns first so probably a blast around the beech woods and grims ditch / Ridgeway. Then other family non Bristol and hopefully a catch up with old uni mates on the Leigh woods and Ashton court trails.

I'm looking forward to riding a regular 'local' spot which I love, covert woods near canterbury.

Then I'll try and get away for a few days as soon as I can and ride somewhere in Wales, or do cut gate, or do Long Mynd.

Just outside of Maidstone, near a village called Lenham is a chalk cross etched into the side of the North Downs. It can be reached via the Pilgrims Way and I’ve been planning to undertake a gravel bike ride to it since before Christmas. Parts of the Pilgrims Way are pretty boggy in the winter, so now would be the perfect time.

I was supposed to be heading to Morzine for 2 weeks in mid July but I guess that isn't happening. Want to do Fort William to Inverscheckie plus a wee Torridon trip if I can catch the weather.

SSUK with any luck!

Never ridden Afan and the FoD, never been inclined to, now I want to!

Said I'd ride the HT550 route and Mille Pennines this year, unlikely to have the fitness for the latter though even if it's on. But might tour one or the other.

This year, for my 50th I'd planned a series of coast-to-coasts - one during each school holiday. Thanks to a stomach bug I didn't even get the first one done in February and the others are now pretty much off the cards so I'll have to reschedule for (hopefully) next year and make my 51st year the big one for MTB...

Currently (still - for some reason the motivation to finish it quickly has gone...) halfway through my 50th birthday present RocketMAX build. Once we can travel to play again I'm happy to go anywhere I can try it out in earnest. Most likely it will be The Peak and a classic Ladybower loop.

I was hoping that one of the good things that would come out of COVID would be that people would travel less in general, obviously not looking g at the plans some people are making.

That may still be true in the end but after maybe 3 months of pounding the local trails and dropping the risk level I'm not surprised people will want something different to blow the cobwebs away.

Me I'm looking forward to a ride in the South Downs. My local ish patch just half an hour in the car, some hills, some scenery and views and if I get a clear day then up from West Dean to The Trundle will be on the cards. Beautiful view and the fast and grassy Sound of Music descent will be obligatory.

There's a series of things I'd like to do. Stay with my parents and take them out for a meal. My mum's 90 and my dad's 88.
Catch up with friends and go and have fun and reconnect.
Go out as a couple and do nice stuff - in the UK and in Europe.
Longer term - in different countries round the world - catch up have fun and reconnect.
Not all of this are going to be possible for a while.

I'd like to do the Lon Las Cymru route I've been planning for a few years.

But any ride with friends would be good, with a pub garden half way round

I don’t give a flying **** where our first Monday Night Pub Ride is.

All that matters is that I’ll be riding with my mates and wherever it is we’ll finish at the pub, where we can drink beer and take the piss out of each other

Club hut.

Bastard climb up to Marchlyn Marw, back to the hut via the quarry and a burger at Dinorwic Lodge.

At the hut I shall get wasted on whisky and read The White Spider. Again.

The day after I shall borrow someone's dog and the grandkids and spend as much as possible on breakfast at Pete's, before rwpeatedly bailing from the first 6 feet of a Joe Brown classic or poking round the bomb store.

A from the door easy paced tour to wherever, doesn’t matter.

Just an exercise is passing through places spending time on the bike.

Maybe put the bike in rigid 29er with big but fast tyres on.
