In the photoshop thread they go mental. There's even one in plastic that scares the cat.
Has anyone left them in their garden to stop the little ****s pooing on their flower beds?

Doesnt work on mine.

But bookmarked for the non-poo content. Weve tried pepper, garlic, orange peel, shale, wire netting, squirting the cats with water, and chemical pellets to no avail.

IME they're not keen on shiteing on barkchip Kryton. My mil has one of those ultrasonic numbers as well, she reckons it works.

Just asked mine and they just looked at me like I was an idiot. One is now crapping on my lawn while staring me down.

Someone remind me why I let these things in my house?

Ah, bread maker. I thought Mr Helen was about to be deep fried.

Fruit and vegetables don't exist for our cat whereas it can detect roast chicken/baked salmon/ice cream from many m

Tried it with both of ours. They both fixed me the same look of withering contempt that they use the rest of the time, and went about their usual routine... sleeping, eating and shitting in the neighbour's gardens

tested on my parents-in-laws' cats:

cucumber was investigated with caution, then ignored.

square-trap worked like a charm.

Coffee grounds. chuck them around the perimeter and they poo no more.
well, works for me anyway.

We wanted to try that., The problem is they are our cats and the Bed is right outside the back door, so we'd effectively be scaring them away.

We've not bonded with these two very well, they are 13 and we are awaiting their natural demise with anticipated relief. Recent annual health check and we were told by the Vet they were extremely healthy for their age... 😐

Is it not because the cucumber's initially out of their sight and when they do clap eyes on it they think it's a snake that's crept (slithered?) up on them, which is why they go mental trying to get away from it?

I tried the place-a-cucumber-behind-them trick on our cat, she was entirely un-bothered. Suspect you'd still get shit in your garden even with a few strategically placed cucumbers.

Maybe. But when questioned about Cat euthenasia I suspect "STW told me so" wouldn't be the best defence.

I had a cat who was 23 when she died, so don't hold your breath.

Admittedly I never tried the cucumber thing on her - she'd probably just have pissed on it, like she did with everything else.

It only works on cats that have been taught to fear snakes or vegetables.

Our cat couldn't give a shit - about cucumbers or anything else really except whether she gets fed.

"Why'd you kill the cat?"
"My internet cult told me to. Praise STW"

My friend's cat is completely oblivious to anything except mice and food. It does a good line in withering and/or malevolent glares.

We tried the cucumber thing on my sister's cat as well and that completely ignored it. It's used to strange goings on though, my sister has two small children and the cat can even put up with them without batting an eyelid.

I was disappointed not to get a response after seeing the original video though.
