So we have a number of 1200mm square skylights, that have needed blinds for a while.
problem is the quote I get for them, just for basic white blackout blinds is akin to daylight robbery 🙂
so there has to be a way to diy them, or somehow cobble together some heath robinson approach with a blind designed to be used vertically ?
my hope is the STW experts can help with this, if they haven’t already solved it obviously and knowing STW someone will have.
This place seems more reasonably priced, depending on your expectations, at abut £100 for a 1200mm square velux with blackout blinds. They need to know the brand of window apparently but possibly worth a call.
Otherwise, magnetic strip around the window frame and sewn along the edge of the blinds. This is an all or nothing option as it doesn't roll up or gather like a normal blind.
