Any good one?
I know there is one that use to have a wide angle leica lens. But more mTB orientated, there is some waterproof one (the olympus µ and the Panasonic DMC-FT1).

Anyone have one of them?
Is it worht buying or should I keep my reflex.

I got a canon sx110 and it seems fine, 10x optical zoom and option of fully manual settings plus all the usual 'auto modes'

Not the smallest camera around but I wanted something a bit chunky rather than flimsy, seems to have gone up quite a bit in price since I got mine for £109 last year so there may be better value out there now......

got a canon g9. Not waterproof but keep it in a waterproof holder. Do you think you really need a waterproof one? When it's pissing it down with rain are you really going to stop and take a lot of photo's? Flat lighting too.

Last year, I got a Ricoh Caplio 7 as it has a wide angle lens with a long zoom (28-200 equivalent). Picture quality is so-so, low light pictures are rubbish and it's been back TWICE to be mended in the eight months I've had it (once the lens detatched from the motor, then the flash didn;t work). If the shop I bought it from (AJ Purdys) hadn't gone bust I'd have taken it back for a refund and got a canon instead. Avoid.

we've got an Olympus 1030 SW shockproof waterproof jobbie, and it's great. The quality of the lense/picture is not the greatest, but it's totally bombproof. I use it riding, snowboarding, and my wife uses it with our 1 year old, who likes to throw it across the room and chew it. we've had it for over a year and it's battered looking, but working as new.
It's been in the sea, pool, snow, and dropped down the stairs.

very useful camera. But, it is a backup to my full frame 35mm digital Canon.

Similar to Lardman - I have the Olympus 850 SW and it has performed faultlessly for the time that I have had it.

I love my Fuji F31

Not waterproof but reasonably weather proof (and knock proof) in my experience.

Great battery life so don't have to worry about charging it before sticking it in my rucksack, great pictures, decent amount of manual control.

The successor to this model (F200 i think) is tempting as it's got a wider angle, but someone off here said they'd got one and took it back because it was rubbish but didn't expand any more on that. It gets decent reviews though.

Edit: i looked at the Ricoh one nbt mentions before getting the F31 and was put off by the reviews mentioned poor quality pics in anything less than ISO 100, glad I took note.
