Please.

Well, it's more of a re-starting problem. It generally fires up first thing but if I have to switch the engine off after it's been run for a while, it can take ages to start again especially if it's raining or it's been raining. It's a bit random as there is no set pattern to it. The starter motor seems ok as it always cranks it over, even when I've been at it for 20 times or so. No idea what's going on but I'd really like to get it sorted as, despite the bad rep Vivaro's seem to have, it's been ace otherwise.

Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received. Ta.

Shagged injector? It's a well known issue

Not specific to that engine, but hot starting problems can be a poorly camshaft sensor breaking down when hot, the engine uses the crankshaft sensor instead but the engine doesn't always spin fast enough on the starter to get a reliable signal and therefore will not fire.ย  Unlike to be related to rainy conditions though.

Cheers. The camshaft sensor has been mentioned online too.

It's a 1.9

Catches then dies. Cycle through three starts and it roars into life and works perfectly** for the rest if the day.
