So in plain English what does "Released to other delivery agent" mean?

Anything from "now with Royal Fail/Parce Farce" to "choreyed by DHL staff".

Parcel force now have it, and a mysterious handling fee will be added to the bill.

So essentially they have given my parcel to someone other than the person I want it to get to, who could well keep it leaving me well out of pocket.

Just imagine if we relied on these people to deliver our messages as opposed to email.

Wow, jokes aside, that is one cynical but naive view.

If that did happen, I am guessing you may have a claim.

That maybe a fair point al, but every other time I post something it gets drawn out to a point it makes me stressed. I don't want to read small print for everything I do in my life.

IIRC DHL run a franchise called DHL @ home. They hand parcels over to self employed subbies who turn up in their own cars to do the final part of the delivery. They do turn up in a yellow fleecy tho. Seems to work fine for me.

It means exactly what It says. Its been passed onto a third party delivery company (they usually do this on residential deliveries).

Some people have whinged that it then turns up a day late, but it never has IME.
