Anyone going to be playing this on the Xbox one?if so my gamer tag is sutty1975.
I will be doing, but not until I've handed in my dissertation - due a week Sunday. After that I have a feeling I may lose a few hours on Destiny
My gamer tag is ed mcdead
I ballsed my order up so not got my copy yet but I have a PS4 anyway.
I'll add you olddog, can't wait played the beta and thought it was a good tease.
Yeah, it looks good. I've not done a lot of this co-op type stuff before. My online gaming has mainly been CoD and Halo, a bit of Forza, so Destiny will be a novelty.
How are you finding the next gen gaming experience? I've been slightly underwhelmed so far (apart from Titanfall)- which I was sort of expecting anyway, perils of early adoption.
Yep it's all going slow but October looks crazy for games.
I've been very underwhelmed so far. Watchdogs was a real backwards step from stuff like GTAV. The last of us remastered is quite nice but my son assures me the gameplay is not much different to the PS3 version.
I'm waiting for the batch of new games in October. PS4 is still missing a decent driving game, Project Cars and Driveclub both look promising but they're going to have to be good to be better than the Forza games I'm used to playing on the XBOX.
Not that impressed - yeah Destiny has 'next gen' polish - but in terms of physics it's the same old Bungie formula IMO - GOW4 is all I need !
Well maybe I need The Division ...
look out for this game also it's gonna be huge seriously 😯
i would buy a ps4 to play this (if i had the money 🙁
I like Watch Dogs yeah it ain't no GTA V but it's not meant to be.
Looking at The Crew for the driving one as it's has more than just racing to it.
That No Man's Sky could be monumentally mental. Currently being developed by a team of just ten!
Watchdogs was OK but it was incredibly buggy. It had some very nice touches and the size of the place was quite impressive including the hundreds/thousands of different people in the city. Combat could be incredibly frustrating at times. He would be hidden behind a wall or something and then just jump up and stand on top of it for no reason. My son and I both experienced times when we would empty a full ammo set into someone and they didn't die and the amount of times a mission would just not end was ridiculous. The amount of damage you could take while on a bike and be apparently unharmed was bonkers too.
Yeah the redoing of missions as a character wouldn't follow you is annoying. Never noticed the not killing thing but I normally pop them in the head or hit them with a grenade launcher.
Just got a message saying your parcel has arrived. I had a look a downloading it £57 I think got if off amazon for £40 it's crazy charging more for a download.
I got a PS4 after not being into gaming since 2000 ish. Destiny puts me right off . Too involving and geeky , IMO, sorry
Not released on PC = 🙁
I haven't really got into Watchdogs properly - it all seems a bit disconnected and the missions similar. Technically excellent but lacking something, but I think it may be worth a bit of persistence
still got a ps3, ive not played much since they cocked up zombies on cod, it all went downhill after ascension.
they really need to make a seperate zombie game 🙁
Is it worth buying a PS4 for? Hmmm .... Four fore for...
It's looking very good- not seen much more than was in the alpha and beta as yet.
Feels very "complete".
Any PS4 players out there feel free to send me a friend request...

Yes that's three dashes 🙂
Anyone playing on 360, I know old hat but rather spend money on the fat bike. Gamertag choko moroko
I'm close to replacing my 360. Have had both other xbox versions - very much debating getting a PS4 for this though..not sure why.
Trying to get my studying out the way so I can have a blast tonight.
What other games is Destiny like? I got the impression it was similar to Borderlands 2 from one of the adverts i saw.
It's Halo meets Borderlands.
I played the Beta and loved it. Some people have complained about the single-player part but they have just steamed through it without much exploration.
Playing it through with a mate every so often, and since we're both fairly crap it is quite fun. "Serious" gamers wouldn't want us on their team as we're too busy having a laff.
On PS4. Gamer tag: Aardgoose, add me in if you like!

It's Halo meets Borderlands.
Thanks. I'll put it on my list. Does it need to be played as multiplayer like Borderlands? Or can you solo it?
On the Beta it was difficult on later levels to solo it.

am glad i bought the game now 😀
my 360 gamertag is adamski2112
I'm playing on PS4, username is MissusToast. My PVP technique is mostly shotguns, stabbing and sticky grenades,
I've been playing Destiny for the past couple of weeks. Once a week with a couple of friends and once or twice a week solo. So far it seems fairly fun but I'm not really seeing the benefit of the massively multiplayer side of it. There seems to be little support for communicating with other players and so far I haven't felt much desire to try and form a fireteam with players who I know nothing about.
Does the game come to life more if you have more friends playing it? Is the Crucible side of things worth trying for those of us who haven't played much in the way of PvP shooters or is it just going to be an exercise in being humiliated by kids whose twitch skills far exceed my own?
My 360 gamertag is ThinkingEngine.
Only played a little since this time last week due to work amongst other things.
Yeah the PVP is good fun but yes you will be humiliated by teenagers, I've formed a fire team a couple times with my Nephew and his friends. They really put me to shame with their tactics mine are more like Mrs Toast's. Charge in with gun, grenades and fists they choose strategic areas to dive behind, they move around in cover and pick off the weak.
Because this thread appeared under the NHS one, I thought it said Dentistry.
Hahaha!
