Starting a degree in September through work, and I probably could do with a new PC of somesort to use for studies as my current laptop is well... knackered.
I also really fancy an ipad but I aint made of money! Which desktop PC should I be looking at?

Will keep some money in your pocket too for your iPad later.

iPad is not for doing proper work on. Any PC will do for work.
If you just want something for browsing/office etc. then the basic Zoostorm PCs on Ebuyer are excellent value (though remember to factor in cost of Windows if you need it).
