Messing about with Funkmaster Jr earlier and he managed to somehow get his big toe under my eyelid. Still smarts now and my vision is wrecked in my right eye 😕

So how have your offspring disabled you?

Can't help with question but you should seriously think about a trip to A&E if your vision is genuinely impaired.

If it's still fuzzy in the morning I'll call in at a drop in centre. Bizarre experience having a three year olds toe in your eye 😯

Harry the Spider is the man you need here. IIRC, his kids have knackered him in quite a few spectacular ways according to some of his posts.

Currently on day three of a wrenched shoulder and impinged neck movement that refuses to ease up despite ibuprofen, rest, multiple massages, hot showers and baths.

Can't tie it to a specific incident - but probably a result of kids that like to jump up without warning and swing on my arm like a rope.

"Don't go over there son - it's black ice"

Son immediately goes over there, feet shoot out from under him and he lands flat on his back cracking his head on the ground.

I go over to 'rescue' him - immediately slip on same patch of ice and to try and avoid landing on him put all my weight on my right hand. Lots of wrist pain.

Later that night decide that a trip to A&E might be in order.

MrsWwaswas is dismissive - there's nothing wrong with it.

A&E say 'probably a sprain , nothing obvious on x-ray, have a tubigrip'.

MrsWwaswas is vindicated. "I told you so!". Tells best mate about my wingeing and lack of ability to deal with pain.

Following day home phone rings caller:"Hello, it's X here I'm a consultant radiologist at the hospital and we review all x-rays, we think your husband may have broken his wrist" MrsWwaswas: "Ok best mate, good one but I know it's you" caller: "No, really it's a radiologist. Mrsww: "yeah right" this continue for some time Caller, just prior to hanging up:"Look, just tell your husband I called will you!". Mrsww does 1471. It was the hospital.

It was almost worth the weeks of discomfort for the look on her face when she had to explain the call to me 🙂

Oh, and a few months later I broke 3 ribs leaning over the arm of the sofa to pick up a kids toy 🙁
