Built up white marks on black shirts for instance, is there some chemical I can use to get rid of the aluminium (I assume?) buildup?

Salt and lemon juice in water. And change your deodorant.

(Presumably you mean anti-perspirant - that can leave white stains, deodorant doesn't)

Vanish stick stuff, and then a suitable stain remover that won't bleach your too dark shirts.

lemon juice and a cold wash - use that old jif lemon thing you've got in the fridge left over from pancake day...
AND get some decent antiperspirant (stop believing the Lynx adverts) so you won't have the problem again

Don't use Lynx, use Sure 'Maximum Protection' stuff, have a bit of an issue with sweating so try to use the most powerful antiperspirant I can. Downside of this I guess is it has extra aluminium in it, which results in more of a build-up on one's shirt...

Carbon or Titanium from now on, you know it makes sense.

Try a proper antiperspirant, one of the roll-ons that you put on at night, they actually stop you sweating; I'd recommend Driclor

I used this product called Pitstop armpit stain remover I was amazed at how well it worked my shirts looked brand new no kidding! I spoke to customer support and asked them about the caked on deodorant and they said to start by pouring boiling water on the effected area and then use Pitstop to get out the discoloration go to www.armpitstainremover.com

Now look what you've done Psychle - you've invoked the spirit of the Barry Scott Spambot.
