ABout 8 years ago got a crown done privately and it was quite pricey then in Feb had to get its neighbour done on NHS quite pricey but not as much. SO last week or so had an ache in the old one, feels like bruising and now it seems to be sitting proud and pushing on the lower tooth (may even have cracked it). I feel that this is because the new crown always felt tight in the gap and may have shifted and settled.

Is this possible and if so do i have any come back with the surgery? The actual dentist is now in Oz and i really don't want to spend big money when this is a problem possibly caused by the new crown.

Sounds bad, unless he was working for a partnership that still exists here. Still, you'd need to show that they'd caused the problem (unless they accept this), which might require a report from another dentist.

First stop would be to go back if you can, then get a 2nd opinion if they won't play ball.
