If you had a FB account, you could have posted there that you'd deleted it ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think if you find Facebook stale then it probably says more about your friends than Facebook. ๐Ÿ˜€

It's more a case of being bored of it.

I like it when people loudly flounce on Facebook, then reappear a few months later.

On the right, scroll down till you see "English (UK)". Click that. Then set it to "English (Pirate)". Then win.

The OP did, as he stated he still uses twitter lol.
It's hardly a flounce. I am not miffed by anyone, just don't see why I was using it. It became a habit rather than me being interested in the content.

Facebook has become very stale for me personally

You have boring family / friends, and you don't care what they are up to.

Congratulations ๐Ÿ˜‰

What is about not liking Facebook that annoys people who do?

Personally I don't really care if strangers don't like Facebook.

Which is why it's gets boring being told by strangers that they have stopped using Facebook ๐Ÿ˜‰

You never really delete your facebook account. You just put it on hold for a while. It's basically just sitting there waiting for you to log back in whereby it will just say 'welcome back, don't worry all your stuff's still here, we've looked after it all for you. As you were'.

I deleted mine but I deleted all my photos, cleared my 'wall', messages etc and 'unfriended' everyone. Then I changed my password for some utterly random code that I would never ever remember and then proceeded to close my account using this password to verify so I wont be able to accidentally log back in.

it's worked this time. Have touched facebook since December.

Is there a way to actually _delete_ an FB account? So that it completely forgets about you?

If you don't think you'll use Facebook again, you can request to have your account permanently deleted. Please keep in mind that you won't be able to reactivate your account or retrieve anything you've added. Before you do this, you may want to download a copy of your info from Facebook. Then, if you'd like your account permanently deleted with no option for recovery, log into your account and fill out this form.
