What's best and why? What resists extreme slippyness the best?

Don't know about slippyness, but if I do it again I'd use oil cos the stain I used last time wore off in patches and looked shit after a while..

Don't have decking, very 90's groundforce... actually we still have some in places and it always ends up slippy after a winter no matter what you put on it. The stuff we've used most recently is clear paint on stuff with gritty material in it, also used on sections of northshore. 2 years so far and not too bad. I'll try and find the tin with name of it, cheers

Both are crap. I've tried everything, and after a winter of rain and wind and more rain the finish lasts about three months and then thats it. Solutions - dont put in decking (although mine has been in for about 10 years and is still standing). I paint it every year though, so it must help.
Dont put in decking though - did I say that already?

Liberon decking oil, give it 3 coats with a big roller, easy. Stain is just that, it only stains.

Stain flakes off, oil weathers so is easier to recoat.
