We will be in touch
I've laid a shed base alongside an existing shed, so that we can lay decking on it. It butts against the existing base but the height between the timbers and the shed door bottom is only 15mm. Any ultra thin board available that I can lay over the base joists? I don't want to plane the door off as that will leave a gap at the bottom. The intended use is for a level platform to put a table and chairs on. There are enough joists and are solid enough to lay a thin floor onto.
Juts get standard boards re sized on a planer/ thicknesser
If you plane the bottom off the door, why not lip a bit of wood underneath the door?
I'm thinking if I board up to the shed door threshold, I'll plane off the doors and that should remove any gap.
Don't plane down the boards. The treatment will then be missing.
Can you use an external 12 mm ply? I'm not quite sure however what you're trying to achieve.

He's trying to find a solution to having laid a second base, stood back and gone oh bollocks I've completely forgotten to allow for the depth of the joists and the deck. I have never ever done anything similar. 🙂

That sounds to be the best solution but I'd put a slight slope on the deck to make sure water runs away from the door.
