Normally use any old electrical stuff + sometimes self amalgamating etc but fed up with stuff coming undone /sticky in heat etc.Any recommendations for a good quality.flexible tape that'll last?

Thanks.

Heat the threaded end of an old spoke and press it at the end.

Different electrical tape? Get some nice stretchy stuff not the hard plasticy stuff and make sure the end is under the bars out the way.

Get better electrical tape. 've never  had electrical tape come off in any conditions on any application I've used it on. It's awesome stuff and really useful for a lot of things/hacks. And you can get it in different colours so no need to things to look scruffy.

The cheaper stuff does melt in the heat, not so much an issue for the ends of the tape but if you used it to secure the cables, they move around and you end up shelling out for new bar tape. Never had problems with branded stuff.
