[#2275631]

The electric switches in my drivers door have stopped working. the windows, mirrors, automatic door closing, automatic window rise. Basically every switch and the lighting for the switches.

Before you all say it is a fuse : This has happened a couple of time earlier in the year, once for about 5 minutes and once for 2 days. in both cases it just suddenly started working again. i noticed because suddenly the windows raise the last little bit.

My guess is a loose wire or connection but i am asking you lot because you know whaqt you are talking about and i don't

Cheers

WCA

Just dump it, burn it out, and use the insurance to buy a new motor.

My neighbour's got a Peugeot estate he's selling, if yer interested.

The wires between the door and door frame (near the hinge) can break over time. (mainly the drivers door as it is used the most,) it will cause the fault you have, it happens on older cars, you should find a rubber boot covering the wiring loom, in the door and frame area, just pull it back and check all the wires.

I would guess at a poor earth, considering everything stops working. Got a multimeter? Easy to check continuity of the earth.

Poor earth caused by water not draining from the inside of the door panel, hence rust and poor connection.
(Sounds good but could be 100% b)
