Earlier today, the BBC Lancashire website had a link to a local newspaper article, saying the new dome for Darwen Tower would be bright red 😆 . The link didn't work, and I assumed it was a spoof anyway. Anyone know the background to this wind-up?
And any dates for the re-opening of the tower?

The article was by a reporter named Catherine Pye (allegedly), and started off:
