What is the correct protocol for passing walkers or on coming traffic on rights of way and cycle paths in Scotland.I was told walkers should always stay to the right to allow faster moving users to pass, is this correct.

I'm unaware of any convention beyond slowing down, talking/bell-ringing, being polite, it's not like the escalators on the tube!
