We will be in touch
I knew they used loads of samples but was quite surprised by these
😀
Lots of the best music out there uses blatant samples from other people's. I love how inventive and resourceful Daft Punk are though, always have done and probably always will!
Wonder if Kanye West realised the samples he stole from Harder Better Faster Stronger were already 2nd hand when he used them though! 😉
Oh, and before anybody else moans, producers have been doing this for ages... Nobody moaned about Norman Cook doing it in the late 90's!

Norman Cook?! Try 1981's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts by Brian Eno and David Byrne - a discernible influence on everything from Public Enemy to the KLF's Chillout. And even that long postdates sampling.
Talking of David Byrne... I don't really care for Fat Boy Slim (apart from Santa Cruz) but under a different alias he made great use of the immortal Once in A Lifetime bassline....

Probably the most famous and influential sample ever (about 1.26 in)
If we're talking sampling, we're talking Apache.
Everything is a remix
I bought the CD for their 2007 Alive concert recently, it's awesome!
Would love to have been there 🙁
Get hyped, c'mon we gotta
Gather around - gotcha
Mail from the courts and jail
Claims I stole the beats that I rail
Look at how I'm livin' like
And they're gonna check the mic, right? - psyche
Look at how I'm livin' now, lower than low
What a sucker know
I found this mineral that I call a beat
I paid zero
I packed my load 'cause it's better than gold
People don't ask the price, but it's sold
They say that I sample, but they should
Sample this my pit bull
We ain't goin' for this
They say that I stole this
Can I get a witness?
