Is that £132 a month or a year?
If per year and your bike/s is worth more than a few grand then not too bad.
i dont have insurance myself , but never leave my bike unattended when out and when home I have a decent store room.
It really depends if you value your bike/s enough and if you are at possible risk of losing them.

got quoted £500 for a £1500 bike about 15yrs ago, I think stuff like that is just "we don't want this gig so quote the punter silly money"

Just get the right home insurance - I was with M&S for a year (who promplty did the whole renewal now costs $100000000000 they seem to be famous for on here) and just moved to RBS. For the RBS one they will cover my bikes at a value of up to £2000 each in a wooden outbuilding and will happily do new for old if they get pinched from home / work / car / trail center etc.

They dont have all the silly rules about locks being this that and the next thing that cycleguard seem to have (as long as they are locked they dont really care).

Also as a side note they will insure all the stuff in my house and cover me in case my house burns down! Plus they were really friendly and the woman on the phone had some superb chat on her! 🙂

David.

Will give thema whirl then mr miller! Thing is my current insurance happily cover my bike in the shed (however she's kept in the dining room) for it's full value but not away from home! We're off to scotchland this weekend and it looks like they're gonna be in a van overnight outside the digs!!

Is that not why you get married and bother to insure her on the car? 😆

I have my £1300 bike insured by E & L for just under a tenner a month. Just wondering though, does house insurance cover bikes damaged in accidents, or only when stolen?
