We're in Jersey today on a day trip from where we're staying in France. Beautiful island and it seems like an island absolutely suited to the bicycle. Making mental note to come back here one time & bring my bike.
It is, pop into Big Maggy's bike themed coffee shop for a drink and a bit of a sit down:

Stopped in Jersey en-route to St Malo to watch the tour a couple of years ago. Had a very enjoyable ride half way round the island despite torrential rain (was going to be a full circuit but we decided to go to the pub instead).
Some nice little hills round the North side!
You can get some pretty cheap day trips on the ferry from Poole or Weymouth - local radio station is doing £20 return to Guernsey and have done the same to Jersey in the past.
