Just a quick question on Balance Transfers. Did a balance transfer on Thursday from a HSBC to my Nationwide to finally pay off my remaining debt. But the balance is showing on both cards. Should I be worried as I don’t want to be paying two of the same thing.

Might take a few days for the transfer to register on the card being paid off. It's 3 working days today so I'd start worrying if it's still not cleared by around Wednesday.

Should I be worried

No.

Stuff takes time to process.

If something has gone wrong, they'll fix it.

Credit Cards might be the work of the devil, but their customer service is generally excellent not much can't be fixed after the fact with them.

Any payments I make from current account to credit card (same bank) take until the next working day to show up on the CC, even if the money is gone from the current account. I wouldn’t worry about it yet.

Yeah just don’t fancy dealing with HSBC customer services it’s a pain, hence why I’ve moved it to a credit card provided by my bank.

Most banks outsource their credit cards to First Data or Tsys

If I make a payment from Natwest to Amex, it appears in a few minutes.
If I make a payment from Natwest Current Account to Natwest Credit Card it can take 48 hrs.
Madness
