It's designed to make you crave it.

A little won't hurt...

Fat and sugar are what the body craves, not lettuce.

Junk food is high in calories.
Maintaining high caloric intake was high on our survival needs.
It isn't a priority today but it will take a while for darwinism to take effect and kill off those of us that prefer junk while preserving those who crave lettuce.
Modern medicine is halting this progression too.

The scientific answer to this is (here's the dangerous cod-science bit):

When your blood sugar levels drop you crave sweet and fatty foods. At the same time your survival instincts kick in and the bit of your brain which controls your will-power to resist and ignore these cravings gets switched off

Ton, you bastard! Why did you have to bring up junk food. I was doing so well. I've got 2 tangerines on my desk that are perfectly edible.

Though not as nom, or indeed nom as the packet of cheesy quavers I had instead.

Or the lovely, (and mahoosive) home-made, peppered steak pudding I shall be tucking into, with chunky chips, mushy peas and gravy, in the pub straight after work. Which I wasn't going to do until i read this thread.

Its all your fault. So there! 😛

AS above you crave junk food because your blood sugar levels are low.

Follow a low GI diet

Rustlers burgers are on offer in Tesco, pure junk but hit the spot

SiB - I've never ever sampled a Rustlers burger. Not that I'm being snobbish or owt. Its just never crossed my mind. I'll eat owt.

So on a pure crap scale of one to ten, where would they sit? If we take a pot noodle as maybe a 7 or 8?

I think a better title would be: NOT craving junk food..........why?

😉

Plenty of places will do you a meatless burger. Well... if you're a purist, and class your 'meat' as not being made from lips, testicles and arseholes

Binners.....on a scale of 1 - 10 if 10 is the crappest then Rustlers are a 'healthy' 9. They do a few options, quater pounder cheese burger is a good'un.

Tip - toast the bun, add extra sauce (no, not to take the taste away).

Its just pure filth, luv'it!!

In that case I may have to get a couple in. I presume the experience, as with all great crap food, is greatly added to with the introduction of copious amounts of beer? 😀

Binners, it goes without saying! And no dishes to wash either

Ton, get some mince, mix with an egg and some flour and herbs and make a burger!
