Just seen this, loved visiting here with the kids. Feel sorry for all the volunteers who helped reconstruct the place.

Police ruled out suspicious activity which I suppose leads to more speculation…
Always wondered why the open fire wasn’t more contained. Embers left to burn between tours. Surely not great given the fabric of the building.

Oh man, that's bad news.

It’s a great place, terrible news that it’s burnt down. We’ve been there loads. I hope they can get funding to get it back up and running again.

I remember being shown how to light a 🔥 with nae swan vestas or bluebells a few years ago. The restaurant/bar had a big fire a few years ago too but if it's dry and windy and the fire brigade are probably retained part time
