We will be in touch
We had a severe Lightning storm the other day, the delay between thunder and flash was nothing. Our power went off for a couple of seconds.
The phone line has a bad crackle on it and our broadband speed has been reduced. Pages take an eternity to download and the broadband connection keeps going down ( at least a wee window alert appears to say so).
I've contacted BT via email, I doubt there is much more I can do on my own.
It can be a bit of a pig to cure.
Stifles a laugh above the groan. š
try unplugging ALL phones and devices apart from your router from your telephone sockets. Change microfilter if you have a spare and try using only your master socket.
That should at least eliminate any internal issues.
I will give that a try in the morning. We've had issues in the past with trees rubbing though the phone lines which has been a real pain.

crackling line = imbalance. ADSL will be affected.
needs sorting mcmoonty.
check YOUR gear first, as above. lightning can kill your internal kit, routers, phones etc, if not blow them apart.
