Bit of a gloating/smug thread but there you go.

Tonight I'm off to a beer festival with my dad and one of my best mates.
Tomorrow day I'm out for a gentle, 20 mile ish bike ride with my wife that will double as a chance to get the position on my new bike perfect.
Tomorrow night I'm off for a posh meal at a Michelin starred restaurant, almost certainly preceded my some cocktails.
Sunday I am going for a "proper" ride on the new bike in it's newly tuned position.
All of these things are making me very happy.

Anyone else up to anything interesting?

Work Sat morning, ride in Hebden Bridge in the afternoon followed by BBQ in the evening with my wife/kid.

Sun we're with some friends I've not seen in a while and their kids for a play in the park and a Gruffalo trail thing (no idea) with a nommy picnic.

Not enough riding but should be cool.

Can't remember the last time I was in a nice restaurant.

Off to the coast in about an hour. Need to do some plumbing work and gardening at the house there but should be enough time for dog walking/reading in the sun.
Needless to say the children will be staring at their phones unless we drag them outside.

Saturday night ride, out riding in the wilds of Staffordshire starting at Oakamoor, round to the quarry and dimmingsdale some other little bits, 20 miles odd, nothing too taxing. Temperatures look decent for it and the pint at the end!

Wife's away on a jolly so I've got the kids all weekend. I'm mildly terrified.

On the plus side, I've just been taken out for lunch at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and am slightly pissed. Could be worse.

I went to that beer festival last night. Start off on the fixed gear brewery beers

Have a hot dog at the Duke before hand, from 6pm. They're yum!

Just back from a pootle to the Cat, had a few beers there. Tomorrow around the lanes of North Worcestershire with beers at the Robin Hood

Sunday a day out over the Mynd

This weekend I shall be riding For Science. Ish...

Tomorrow I'll ride my winter road bike round a nice local loop and record it on strava.

On Sunday I shall ride the same route on my best road bike, with all its 'go faster' kit on, and record it on strava.

I shall then compare the results. Cos I'm a bit of a nerd like that. (but not so much that I wont give it 85ish% on the winter one, and everything I have on the nice one, just to ensure the correct result)

My findings will then be used as the industry standard of comparison for solid alu starter road bike to aero carbon dandyhorse tests, or the Howard factor. You're welcome.

Already been out and back for my 10 mile local biking loop now a bit of chill before my squash night.

Saturday heading over to ride Hopton Woods with new potential fella then we're going for a handmade burger in the evening.

Sunday think Ill do a morning road ride blast, clean the flat and head out with the dogs in the afternoon!

Burgers currently under the grill and have a couple of bottles of Doombar for after.

Tomorrow I'm going for a road ride with wife before putting some kitchen cabinets in the garage for storage of bike stuff etc. this will be followed by a nice stew and a film of some description.

Sunday I'm heading to the Long Mynd to meet a Friend for some MTB action. Chill out Sunday night before going back to work on Monday.

Got a new (to me) mega tr arriving next week so putting the hardtail to good use this weekend as I probably won't ride it again for a little while! Going for the most climbiest ride I've ever done tomorrow and then some DH on Sunday if I can still move.
