My fairly new iphone has a crack near the dock connector on the back. Its not very wide, and maybe two inches long. I didn't take out insurance on it, and i'm aware it costs a small fortune to get any faults fixed.
Has anyone had this - does it get worse, or can i ignore it?
do a google - I found someone local to me in Brighton who did quick, good, reapirs cheap(ish).
3GS or 4? I'm fairly certain apple were replacing 3GS for a while due to this but have got more strict. Mine has got one (only about 10mm) but I never got it looked at.
3GS. Local place is charging £79 for a backing case. 😕
Mines got a small crack where I dropped it and I bought a iluv case which it now lives in permanently( a tenner I think from Argos) I check it every now and then but it's not got any worse.

It just works. Plug it into iTunes and it'll sort everything out.
😉
Hmm, getting a case it can live in all the time might be a good move - my current one is just a hardcase but i need to take it out everytime i use it.
ron jeremy, me and diy/fixing things don't mix - it'd be 10x worse after i finished with it! 😆
dgoab, I know what you mean, I've just read the instructions and thought, maybe I'll get another case for mine, just to be on the safe side
