Anyone know if you can run 2x10 set up on the later sodas? Anyone tried 140mm forks?

140mm forks will void the warranty (120mm max). Up to you whether that bothers you or not. Probably won't do the frame lonegvity any good if you're overly abusive with it...

2x 10 should be fine. A mate has run a Middlburn duo on both his old Soda, and his newer Lynskey made one with no probs.

Thanks Jon. . That's good, i would hate to change back to 3x9 as really gelled with just the 2 rings. . My forks wind down to 110 so that would work, the 140 would just be used In Wales and the like. . As a second hand buyer I'm not sure if the warranty would be carried over. .
Cheers

Duo and older double mtb chainsets are fine, but the new Shimano 2X10 have a completely different chainline and there may not be enough chainstay clearance on older frames. Check with Cy, or buy a triple and take of the inner ring.

Thanks, I have the 2011 set, so may be a problem. . Maybe have to go tripple. . Think 1x10 may hurt too much! The frame is a 2012 the last ones that were available, so maybe be worth a go. .

Thanks for your advice. .

Right, looking into it I am going to a 1 x 10 set up. . Keeping the back 10 as before and a single ring with chain guide on front. . Can Anyone recommend a decent ring, and how many teeth shall I get? A nice alloy one to fit the shimano remains of my crankset will do nicely. . .

I'm using an E13 33T (never had an "odd" ring before). Hope, Renthal, Chromag all good though...
