Started 2017 at 16st 10lb. As of this weekend I’m 13 st 13.  But that’s not as good as buying pair of size 32 waist jeans!

I think I might as well sit it out till the next version.

Been a shocker since April. Back to weight at beginning of the year. The personification of a yo-yo diet.

Don’t give up, Jamie. Losing the weight is so worth it. Just tell yourself every morning after a bad eating day that today is a new one and that you can make a fresh start.

Same ol, same ol, bit on, bit off but still way better than start of the year but still a way off target.

Ride London in 1 moth from now, must shift some kilos for that.

Are we doing Chub Club Bikini Body? or going solo....

I don't mind picking up the admin if Rob H is done with it (sterling effort to date!)

The final curtain! Get yo updates in, read em, then, like me, weep 🙂

CC3 is looming!! I'll get it sorted over the weekend.

Cheers for the offer El Tigre, but I'm happy to continue - for now.

Now I know how it needs to work, I think I'll re-do the entire thing at some point so it can be passed on and used without imploding - the stuff in the background is a wee bit messy and pretty complex in parts.

Thanks for keeping this going Rob.  I got about halfway to my goal and stalled completely.  Birthday parties, weekends away biking (and boozing), holidays, and general laziness got in the way of a concerted effort.  Main positive is that I haven't put any weight on over this time, and I'm ready to change things up for Phase 3 and get that line pointed in the right direction again.

Thanks Rob.

Amusingly I have just actually got things a little bit in the right direction. Just in time for the end.

v3 here I come!

Many thanks for doing this again.

However I won’t be taking part in the next edition as I have finally hit my target.
After way too long, longer than I care to remember I no longer qualify for “ Clydesdale “ class and I can’t tell you how good that feels
Fatoldgit now weighs in at a meer 13 stone 13 and Half a pound

Don't get too excited, but Edition 3 is go!!

If you're one of the 19 who input their final weight on the Edition 2 spreadsheet then this will pull through to Edition 3, if not then you can get on and input the figure yourself. Everyone needs to input their target - this edition run up to 21st of September, just before I undo all my hard work celebrating my birthday 🙂

Any previous contenders who fell by the wayside, but want back in, your name is still there. Anyone new to this charade who would like to sign-up, just email me and you'll get a link to the spreadsheet.

As per usual (at the start of proceedings), the charts are ****ed and will be sorted out in due course.

BRING ON THE SKINNINESS!!

Thanks Rob. I'm going to pretend Edition 2 never happened and proceed straight from Edition 1 🙂

Just to say your email with the link to the s/sheet went to spam, maybe 'cos of some sweary naughtiness.

Thanks for doing the charts and weekly reminders, they're a great motivator.

Mmm, spam.

I want to enter my info but it says #NA in my cells.

Kind of having an existential crisis as a result....am I not applicable to existing? Is this all fish? Bubble bubble...

Right, I skipped the last edition and it seems I've eaten everything in sight.  Let's hope this time round is more productive for me!

How fun is it trying to relocate old threads on the 'new' forum eh?

Anyway, holding pattern central, but have been away. So knuckling down from now....well, maybe Monday.

Also, I think that's cheating, Kato.

Edit: Huh....same weight as Rob now. Guess that makes us Blub Brothers.

I'm going to have to join! 78.5kg or 12stone 8lbs this morning 🙁  I'd like to be back to 75kg tops! No more Croissants, Pain au Chocolat or other pastries and more riding to start with...

You're currently standing at 25% progress to target - don't be such a negative Nelly 😛

Can't believe that Welshfamerbloke is still losing weight! That's the kind of focus I could benefit from.

Just put my numbers in for Friday, a gain of 1.4 kg! I'm hoping it's all down to a course of steroids for a reaction to a insect sting/bite that I got whilst out on the road bike.

Why do the little tossers always get you on a downhill, when you're really shifting?

Agree with Rob, it's great to see people still plugging away.

Matt

I've come to the realisation I lose weight better in winter. No idea why.

Anyway, off I go to enter my usual 150lbs-ish stats I have been at for about 3-4 months now 🙂

Seems to be a common theme. Loads of people keen and eager at the start of the year, large drop-offs in interest as the year progresses and a lack of motivation to keep going. I've certainly lost my way somewhat and am pretty ambivalent about finding it again - even though I kinda know I want to, but kinda don't care.

Yeah. I occasionally look down and grumble that I look a bit pudgy, but then go and eat a *insert summery snack here*. I've not even got booze as an excuse as I don't drink.

I think the biggest thing for me tho this year is a lack of exercise due to injuries. It's so easy to just slide into a '**** it' mode, if you can't exercise as well.

Thanks for keeping things going through it all, tho, Rob.

Been really struggling recently and I found it a lot easier to lose weight when I was heavier.

So I been on s 2 week all inclusive binge fest holiday and gained weight to see if it’s easier to lose from a higher start point.

After truly a first half of the year to forget for a whole host of reasons I’m finally on it. Done more on Zwift in the last 10 days than the preceding 13 months and actually feel almost motivated.

Trying to eat much better as well but the Maccy D’s I’ve just had was soooo nice 🙂

You might notice your target is a bit bobbins, but that doesn't matter - it'll adjust properly in the next edition.

If you fancy some motivation check out msjhes2's progress in the YTD version - not ****ing bad! Good work, that man!!

After a late surge, I basically spent the last weekend in eating out establishments, so as always, target will be missed.

Edition 4, tho. Going to smash it.

Christmas is coming, Rob is getting fat,

Please to put a penny in the old man's hat.

Seriously! Just been to the Doc's and I'm 7kg heavier than last time they weighed me!!

Pretty sure I've been since I was 8, so I reckon it must be down to pizza consumption rather than having gone through puberty.

Well I've been a bad boy and not posted any weight updates in months - mostly due to being on holiday 🙂

The bad news is that lots of beer increased my wieght by 2kg over July/August but I'm now back on it and having less beer and salad for lunch most days....yay 🙁

Please include me in the next one..... still got work to do.

Well since actually putting some effort in - logging calories on MFP and getting some Km’s in on Zwift I actually am seeing a slow but consistent downward weight trend. Bloody hard work though as my colitis is playing hell and I am permanently drained but am really pushing myself to do exercise.

Having a power meter has made the biggest difference as I am prone to infections if I over-train but being able to keep a proper eye on effort has meant I’ve now been able to exercise and not get I’ll for 4 weeks in a row. Doesn’t sound much but it’s more than I’ve managed in the last 2 or 3 years.
