Cordless Head shaver - what’s the STW go ?

My Panasonic has finally given up the ghost & they don’t do it anymore.

need a new head shaver, don’t want to spend 00’s on it as being bald functional over style is what i need. Cordless and if possible waterproof / showerproof.

previously bought a cheapie high star rated one from Amazon that was total garbage after a few uses. That got binned.

so what’s the recommendation from the STW hive mind ?

I use a regular orbital shaver, not a head specific one.

My travel version is this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Remington-Virtually-Indestructible-Cordless-Electric/dp/B09Q9CVYQY

Remington PR1855 (Why the **** can't this shonky forum display a simple Amazon link?)

I also have a 10 year old Phillips 5000 or something.

I've got a Remington Quick Cut Pro. It works fine for my grade 2 all over, may not be as good if you want it all off.

I have this not waterproof or suitable for use in the shower but cheapish easy to use lasts quite a long time.(I am on my second one now) I am not quite at the slaphead stage so admittedly I can get away doing my head once or twice a week

I use a Remington RX7. It's useable wet or dry, shower or bath. I prefer to use mine dry as use in the shower tends to clog the blades if you don't wash and dry them thoroughly. However, it gives an absolutely great close shave and is quick and easy.

Another RX7 user here.  Thanks to this thread, I've learned that it could be used wet, although I don't think I'll bother - very happy with a quick once over every few days, as the chance presents itself!

I think that’s a them problem, not an STW problem.

Comes in two sizes, but the smaller version is no slouch

handy way to clear the fluff before you launch in with one of those rotary shavers.

Check out Temu. I’ve got one with seven little shave heads, the whole unit pulls off so it can be run under a tap or the shower. Cost me less than £10.

Have a look through this lot.

I also have a 10 year old Phillips 5000 or something.

Me too. I thought I didn't like it much, then I just bought a Wahl thing recently and I appreciate the trusty old 5000. Would probably get a new one.
