[Closed] Copyright etc, would this be an infringement or illegal? Brand protection.

Having watched another helmet cam shot from red bull/go pro with the go pro logo on the peak, I wondered how much the logo/type face etc would be protected.
I've seen loads of adverts online for t shirts etc that might rip off the logo of starbucks or other big brands, tweaking them to suit.

So, say a sticker or t shirt that says "Go Slo, Beer Hero ", in the same font.

Would that see a stern letter from the GoPro lawyers arrive?

I'm a tad confused is there a commercial element to this sticker?

It depends how vociferously they defend their trademarks.

Lots of companies did come down on these shitty screen printed T+shirt knock offs. When it bears enough of a resemblance you may get a cease and dissist. But there are a lot off ifs involved.

As apple, apparently they've patented the rectangle.

First thing to sort out is your pseudo. I suggest "rockdropper" 69.9, as you risk getting sued by the people who patented the unequal quadrangle.

Any resemblance between this geometrical figure and a patented suspension system is entirely coincidental.

UK copyright law allows for "caricature, parody or pastiche" as fair dealing. So it probably wouldn't be a copyright infringement.

Though trademark laws are a separate thing. So it could still be a trademark infringement. Or could be defamation.
