So my insurance company don't seem to have the means to view the footage of my car being hit by a lorry as it's a .DAV file
They also don't seem to have the means to convert it..
So, anyone know a way to convert the file to a format that muppets can view?

FFMPEG should be able to convert it.
Try Handbrake, it is based on FFMPEG, and gives you a nice GUI.

Personally I'd be going back to the source and asking them to provide the footage in a sensible format.

Thanks all. I've managed to get it sorted so, hopefully, they can chase the 3rd party for my money..
