I'm in Cheshire over Xmas and fancy doing Snowdon in winter conditions while they're there. Saw the BBC story about numpties in tracksuits so I can imagine it's pretty much full on winter up there. I've 20+ Munros, all in winter conditions under my belt, I'm not a newbie and will be taking axe, crampons, bivvy bag etc.
I'm wondering just what the mountain will be like and also the roads in - I would normally come across on the A55 and down past Llyn Ogwen and down to Penypass. I was thinking Pyg track up and down.
Should be easy peasy
However is a hill so check here first MWIS Clicky
im 40 mins away from snowdon ,due to heavy snow the roads are pretty bad at the moment !
A bit hilly.
If you aren't aware, people (plural) die every year trying to walk down the cloggy railway track which banks over with snow
Pyg track is fine, just a bit of path ice nearer the top
